EXCERCISE TIGER - by Richard T Bass

In Exercise Tiger, Richard Bass exposes the truth behind the infamous World War II US training exercise where German E-Boats attacked an unarmed convoy of troopships off the southwest coast of England in April 1944 causing grievous casualties.

This sea borne attack off Slapton Sands has always been surrounded by sinister mystery and mis-information, and using new evidence that has been painstakingly researched over many years, shows the actual death toll to be far in excess of the official figure and proves persistent accusations of a cover up to be a reality.

This true story has been woven from personal recollections of survivors, witnesses to murder by 'friendly fire', archive documents no longer publicly available and detailed examination of official reports.

Secret mass burials, missing bodies and empty graves, lost ships and army units that simply vanished from the records all add to the challenging of the official version of events, climaxing with a cover-up of international proportions that to this day has been denied.
